Organise your own event
With a little bit of planning, and lots of enthusiasm, running an event yourself can be a great way to raise funds and awareness of Elizabeth Finn Care’s work. On this page you will find some useful advice and materials to help your event take place without a hitch:
Top Tips
- Break the boredom barrier! Fundraising doesn’t have to be wacky to be fun, but be sure that what you’re offering will be preferable to an afternoon infront of the TV! Your event should suit the age, lifestyle and common interest of those you invite.

Fundraising Ideas
- Set a date, but make sure your event doesn’t clash with something else going on in your area.
- Who’s invited? Make sure you have a suitable venue for the number of people you are expecting. Think about the number of invitations you need to send, or if your event is open to the general public, what kind of publicity you will need.
- Don’t suffer in silence! Events are more fun when you get your friends involved. Can you delegate some of the responsibilities so that you can concentrate on other things?

Advice from Experienced Fundraisers
